I'm not so sure. From what I understand, the DNA from Jeff Goldblum was spliced with DNA from frogs to fill in sequence gaps. Unbeknown to us, could
spontaneously change sex...thus some of our single sex Jeff Goldblums became female Jeff Goldblums (aka Nancy Drews) and proceeded to lay Jeff Goldblum eggs.
One of these eggs hatched and has been making appearances as the late Jeff Goldblum.
Another egg unfortunately has begun to mutate into a fly-like creature:
